Hired by Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP

“I learned about the Oregon Diversity Legal Job Fair through Hiroko Peraza, Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition & Inclusion and my former mentor, from Davis Wright Tremaine LLP (DWT). I did an internship at DWT during high school and kept in touch with my mentors throughout college. This led me to finding out about the amazing opportunities that the legal job fair could bring me and other diverse individuals looking to enter the legal field.

I had a pleasant experience at the job fair and was able to meet people from numerous firms. The job fair allowed me to further network with legal professionals in the field, which led me to stay in touch with them even after the event and they would contact me if new opportunities presented themselves.

After interviewing with a few different firms, I have joined DWT as an Administrative Legal Assistant.   This couldn’t have been possible without the help from the Oregon Diversity Legal Job Fair.

It is important for me as a first-generation Mexican-American to have the privilege of attending events that can further diversity within the field and I hope that the Oregon Diversity Legal Job Fair will continue on to help other young-adults reach their dreams.”
